At the American Patriotic Movement, we believe that America's government is of the people, by the people, and for the people. We believe that our government should always be accountable to the people, and working in the best interests of all Americans.
Part of being patriotic and loving America is striving for unity. This is our country, and divided, we'll fall. It starts with our families. Building strong family units creates strong communities. We must remind one another of the values that our country was founded upon, and champion those values as we each work to define for ourselves the American Dream.
We recognize that though our country has its flaws. Recently, it seems that some Americans have thought it almost fashionable to shun America at every opportunity. A perpetual negative sentiment about our country is not healthy. It is incumbent upon each of us to rise to the occasion and do our civic duty of placing the onus on ourselves to play our part in making our country that much better.
What would a nation be without laws? We must champion the best out of our fellow neighbors as we work toward greatness. We must also know be confident in knowing that in the face of criminality, that justice will be served, and most importantly, that justice is blind.
Ensuring domestic tranquility involves recognizing that respect for authority is to be taught at home. Our members of law enforcement are not separate from our community, but are an integral part of our community. We should all want our children to look up to members of law enforcement as the superheroes who go out to save the day.
As a country, we must always demonstrate strength on the world stage, as one of the core ways of maintaining peace both here and abroad. We must always strive to be the most advanced, capable, and formidable military force in the world. Let us also honor and recognize the sacrifices of all the brave men and women who wrote a blank check - up to their life - to serve this country, and keep us safe every day.
Being patriotic involves seeing to our neighbors' well-being. It is not compassionate to leave our fellow neighbors destitute to die homeless on the street. We must work to make meaningful positive change in the quality of life of all Americans by collaborating with organizations on drug and alcohol rehabilitation, skills training, mentorship, business ownership, and home ownership.
Our rights and liberties are always but one generation away from being lost forever. As Americans who love our country, we must protect our God-given rights, enumerated in the Constitution. We must never allow our government to exploit an emergency to seize power. By exercising our rights can we more fully enjoy the blessings of liberty.
We have a legacy to leave to our future generations. What will that legacy be? Will it be one of mediocrity, victimhood, and surrender, or one of strength, ambition, and a never-ending drive to succeed and define for ourselves the American Dream? It's time for all Americans to take opportunity, create opportunities for others, and build the thriving communities that we wish to see.
We'd love to hear from you!
